Sunday, May 17th is Homecoming at Midway.
Bro. Ken Bishop will bring us the sermon
during the Morning Worship Service.

Care Packages for Deployed Marines: 20 Content Suggestions
· Baby Wipes for personal hygiene
· Hand Sanitizer (no pump-style dispensers)
· Toilet Paper/Kleenex (Travel size packets)
· Sunblock, Aloe Vera, Blistex, Chapstick, Vaseline, Carmex (in stick tubes rather than tubs)
· Throat Lozenges
· Socks (Crew or Boot socks) - white
· Pens, Envelopes, Writing Tablets, (small notebooks pocket size).
· Gum, Lifesavers, Mints (blister pack gum is best because of intense heat).
· Boot Liners
· Sunglasses
· Frisbee, Nerf Footballs, Hackey Sack
· Deck of Cards
· Hand-held games
· Gatorade mix, Kool-aid, Tang, Ice Tea Mix, Crystal Light (small or individual on-the-go packs)
· Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Peanuts, Trail Mix
· Candy and Candy Bars (chocolate will melts)
· Power Bars, Protein Bars, Nutritional Bars
· Beef Jerky, Beef Summer Sausage
· Coffee, Hot Cocoa Mix, Coffee Mixes, Tea
Many of the items on this list are specific to locations where the sand, wind, heat and other environmental factors dictate the needs.
The most often requested items: letters, cigarettes, batteries, socks, drink mixes and reading material; in that order.

Lions Club
The Lions Club is collecting used eye glasses to be
refurbished and given to people who are unable to
afford them. If you have a pair and want to donate,
please place them in the Collection Bin in the Fellowship Hall.

Adamsville Senior Citizens Center
Open Monday through Friday
8:30 am until 1:30 pm
Lunch is served each day for a donation of $1.
Participants enjoy games such as Dominos and Uno,
we work Jig-Saw puzzles and have fun and fellowship.
We play Bingo every Thursday
We are presently crocheting and/or knitting lap throws for Hospice Patients.
We encourage and invite all persons 60 years and older to join us for
lunch and activities.

Fruit Basket Ministry
If you have a family member, friend or neighbor who is unchurched,
we would like to deliver them a Fruit Basket. Please let us know who
they are by filling out a Fruit Basket Request form (in Sunday's bulletin).
Please include the person(s) name, address, directions to his or her home
and your name.

Board Meeting
Board Meetings have been moved to the 3rd Sunday night of each month, and
will follow the Evening Worship Service.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2008.
